BC Orion – Melden ongewenst gedrag

BC Orion is een badmintonvereniging in Enschede, waarbij plezier in het samen badmintonspelen voorop staat. Samen met elkaar maken we de vereniging, samen met elkaar maken we de sfeer in de vereniging.
Helaas kan het ook voorkomen dat je ongewenst gedrag ervaart, naar een medesporter of naar jezelf, of dat je je buitengesloten voelt. Ongewenst gedrag kan bijv. zijn pesten, discriminatie, (seksuele) intimidatie, bedreiging of verbaal of fysiek gewelddadig gedrag.
Als je met ongewenst gedrag te maken krijgt en dit niet met de betreffende persoon of een bestuurslid kunt of wilt bespreken, vragen we je om contact op te nemen met onze Vertrouwenscontactpersoon (VCP). Bij een vermoeden van seksuele intimidatie zijn coaches, trainers en begeleiders zelfs verplicht om dit te doen.
Wat doet de VCP?
De VCP zal naar jouw verhaal luisteren en samen met jou kijken wat verdere stappen kunnen zijn. Soms is iets op te lossen binnen de vereniging en in sommige gevallen is het verstandig om er andere deskundigen bij te betrekken. Dit zal altijd in overleg met jou gebeuren. De VCP is onafhankelijk.

BC Orion is a badminton association in Enschede, where the primary aim is to have fun while playing badminton. Together we make the association, together we are responsible for the culture and atmosphere in our association.
Unfortunately you might experience inappropriate behaviour, towards a fellow sportsperson or yourself, or that you feel excluded by other people. Inappropriate behaviour can e.g. be bullying, discrimination, (sexual) intimidation, threats or verbal or physical aggressive behaviour.
If you experience inappropriate behaviour and you cannot or do not want to discuss this with that person or a member of the board, we kindly ask you to contact one of our counselors (in Dutch: VCP). If there is a suspicion of sexual intimidation, coaches and trainers are even obligated to report this.
Action by the counselor (VCP)?
The counselor will listen to your story and together with you decide what the next steps can be. Sometimes this can be action within Orion, sometimes it is better to approach external experts. Whatever the decision, it will always be in consultation with you. The counselor acts fully independent of Orion.
